I am a full-time elementary educator by day and enjoy spending my weekends working in the yard, hiking, kayaking, and just making memories with my friends and family.
At Age 40 my son was getting married and it was the motivation I needed to drop over 70 pounds. Through my journey I realize I wanted to help other women feel great about themselves emotionally and physically! This inspired my desire to get certified and empower other women! (And sometimes men! 😉)

I enjoy going to church, spending time with my family, and going on vacations. My true hobby is exercise as I do it daily. I currently teach Zumba, Zumba Step, Zumba Toning, Strong, and Empower Bootcamp. I also run and do strength training. I own a fitness studio called Shake & Move Fitness in addition to working full time as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting.
I have always been physically active by being in band. I was a majorette in High School and College and later a High School/ University Auxiliary Coordinator. Teaching fitness was a natural transition to me especially when it included music. I have been teaching fitness for 25 years. I pride myself on making people feel comfortable no matter what their fitness level. No matter your level, you are still lapping the people sitting on the couch! I strive to keep classes fun and spontaneous. Fitness is important for our physical, social, and mental well-being.
